During the entirety of the years of Patricia’s decorative art career (over 34 years). She’s used a set of simple rules for artistic composition. The artists who follow these concepts are able to structure their compositions in ways that always create organic and believably real decorative finishes, and organic faux finishes. The rules also create a balance within a piece of art so that it never becomes boring or tiresome. They break the human tendency to structure our creations in a geometric or static composition patterns. Patricia says – “I consider these rules to be the single-greatest gift ever given to me as a painter.” When utilized and practiced, a competent crafts-person easily becomes a true artist. |
