Eligibility & Rules: Individuals & Chapters

INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION

All current IDAL members are eligible for this competition.  The individual prize can only be won by an individual person.  Companies and organizations are not eligible.  You must recruit at least 10 new members to be considered for the individual prize drawings. For each new member recruited, reward points are earned based upon your recruit’s membership-level sign-up.  Once you have accumulated a minimum of 200 reward points, your name will be entered into a “Snap Shot“ drawing on April 1, 2010.  Entry into the “snap shot” drawing does not require redemption of points and does not stop there!  The more you recruit, the more reward points you earn.  Individuals with the highest cumulative reward points at the close of the competition based on the reward point scale will be eligible for the grand prize drawing.  Reward points for new member recruits are retroactive to August 1, 2009.  What this means is that if your name was provided in the blank on the membership form as the referral then you get the credit and earn the reward points.

The official competition ends June 30, 2010 with the Grand Prize Drawing.  There will two drawings, the first on April 1, 2010 and the grand prize drawing on July 1, 2010.  All mail-in membership applications must be received before the main office closes on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 for the April 1st snapshot drawing and Wednesday, June 30 before the close of business. The main office runs on EST.  The winner will be notified by phone and mail.
 
CHAPTER COMPETITION

Chapters must recruit at least 10 new members to be considered for the Chapter prize drawings. For each new member recruited, reward points are earned based upon your recruit’s membership-level sign-up.  Once a Chapter has accumulated a minimum of 200 reward points, the Chapter will be entered into a “Snap Shot“ Drawing on April 1, 2010.  Entry into the “snap shot” drawing does not require redemption of points and does not stop there!  The more the Chapter recruits, the more reward points it earns.  Chapters  with the highest cumulative reward points at the close of the competition based on the reward point scale will be eligible for the grand prize drawing.  Reward points for new member recruits are retroactive to August 1, 2009.  What this means is that if your Chapter’s name was provided in the blank on the membership form as the referring Chapter then  the  Chapter will get the credit and earn the reward points.

Chapters must be fully affiliated by January 31, 2010 in order to participate in the competition.  The winning Chapter must be in good standing at the close of the competition.  This includes but is not limited to full completion of the Annual Chapter Report turned in on time. 

The official competition ends June 30, 2010, but there will be one incentive snapshot drawing on April1, 2010. Chapters who have accumulated a minimum of 200 reward points as of March 30, 2010 will be automatically entered into the “Snap Shot  Drawing” on April two separate drawings (individual & chapter).    All mail-in membership applications must be received before the main office closes on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 for the April 1st snapshot drawing and Wednesday, June 30 before the close of business. The main office runs on EST.  The winning Chapter President will be notified by both phone and mailinners will be notified.

INDIVIDUAL REWARD POINT SCALE & PRIZES

You’ll get:

• 20 points for each new Student or Individual member-level sign up
• 30 points for each new Home-Based member-level sign up
• 40 points for each Professional-level sign up
• 50  points for each new member at the Business Partner Level sign-up

REWARD POINTS: CHAPTERS

• Who and how the membership is awarded is at the discretion of the Chapter's board.  Perhaps they use the free-membership to launch their own membership drive and/or use it to help support a financially challenged member!
  
  
• A “new member” is defined as an individual or company that has never been a member of IDAL/SALI or who have not had active membership in at least 12 months.  Reward points will be tracked and tallied using the referring member’s name that the new member writes on the application form or indicates at the time of sign up if using the phone.  No other form of entry will be considered so make sure your new recruits write your name on their application.
  
  
• All prizes are non-tranferable.
  
  
• An individual and chapter can earn points if they were both indicated on the membership application.
